What is fractional HR?
Fractional HR means an experienced HR professional works with your business part time, for the hours and projects you actually need. Instead of hiring a full time HR manager at $85K or more, you get the same senior expertise for a fraction of the cost, and you can scale it up or down as the business changes.
It sits between doing HR yourself and building an HR department. Unlike HR software or a call centre helpline, you work with one person who learns how your business runs, knows your people and your history, and is accountable for the results.
Signs your business is ready for it
- You have grown past 10 or 15 employees and HR is handled off the side of someone's desk.
- Your employee handbook is missing, outdated, or was copied from somewhere else.
- A termination, complaint or performance problem is coming and you are not sure how to handle it properly.
- You are hiring faster than your process can keep up with.
- Your last HR person left and nobody picked up what they were doing.
- You have a unionized workforce and need someone who understands the collective agreement.
What Snapshot HR takes off your plate
Most clients start with a mix of fixing the foundations and handling whatever is urgent. Over time the work shifts from reacting to problems toward preventing them.
How it works
- Free HR Snapshot. A 30 minute call with Keith to understand your business, what is already in place and where the biggest gaps are.
- Custom roadmap. Everything gets sorted into a prioritized action plan built around your compliance risks and growth goals.
- Engage and execute. Choose a monthly retainer or a scoped project and Keith gets to work. Most engagements begin within a week.
- Ongoing support. Keith stays on as your HR partner, adjusting the plan as your business grows.

Snapshot HR works with businesses across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Delta, Coquitlam, Langley and the North Shore. Much of the work, such as policy development and advisory, is done remotely, so businesses elsewhere in British Columbia are supported too. In person support is available across the Lower Mainland.
